international sailing certificatE
Sailors NYC is offering you the option to obtain the NauticEd SLC which is an international sailing license that is accepted in countries where there is a legal requirement to hold an ICC (International Certificate of Competence) certification or the American equivalent which is the SLC (International Sailing License and Credentials).
SLC CHECKLIST
01
THEORY
Pass the NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master bundle of multimedia courses online and the special SLC exam
02
PRACTICAL
Pass a one-day on-the-water assessment of practical sailing and knowledge skills administered by an SLC instructor
03
EXPERIENCE
Log at least 50 days of sailing experience of which:
-
25 on a vessel greater than 28'
-
25 as vessel master
-
10 days experience must have been logged in the past two years
04
GOVERNMENT
Obtain a government approved boating license. For the USA, you must obtain the NASBLA state boating license which is available for FREE here (Please note: NJ State safe boating course IS NOT NASBLA Approved!)
